Suspicious recruiters from LinkedIn, need help identifying them!
hello,
I need a bit help here. I have been contacted by some recruiters on LinkedIn and i am very suspicious of them being scammers. One of them contacted me a while ago when I didn’t know anything and just started my job search. They claimed to be from a company named Advanced Clinical, which is unrelated to recruiting from what I checked on their website? At that time, they emailed me and demanded me to send my resume and called asap. They then proceeded to ask me to send my application through a suspicious portal. Their email was riddled with grammatical errors too. I assumed they were scammer, but I can’t figure out why would they need my resume. Well, they never contacted me again…until today. They called my phone at 6am in the morning twice, and when I didn’t answer they emailed me saying there was another job and tell me to send them my resume, yet that role wasnt on the company website.
Another person reached out to me recently for a manufacturing associate job and also asked me for my resume. I thought their company, Unicon Pharma, looked legit to me. So I sent them mine. They then sent another person from their company to email me, but that person is asking for my resume again, even though I gave their boss my resume already!
I am just curious if these are scammer or something. They are very pushy and rush me to send in my resume. I heard about scammer recruiters on LinkedIn, just not sure if they are those too. Also, I’m not trying to be racist here, but they all are Indians with bad English and their emails are formatted badly with grammatical errors. I swear I’m not racist, i just see a lot of similarities between them!
Anyway, any advice or insights are super appreciate!
TLDR: recruiters on LinkedIn contacted me and asked for my resume to be sent asap and are very pushy , are they scammer?
