is it normal for my lower leg to be swelling few days after ACL surgery?

got a ACL reconstruction surgery last week on my right knee (patellar tendon graft) and things have been fine but i noticed how id feel some soreness on my right shin, didn't think much till few days later i saw redness and all of a sudden i felt some swelling spread from the knee to the shin. i know swelling is normal but im not sure if its suppose to swell on my right shin. Can anyone explain?
