Does 'Ozempic Personality' go away?
I was prescribed ozempic for diabetes- not weight loss. While I'm definitely fat, I'm not interested in weight loss, so any weight loss benefits are meaningless to me.
I took my first dose (.25) dose a few days ago. Since then, I've had absolutely no motivation or interest in anything I used to enjoy. I haven't written any more of my novel, I haven't touched my sewing, I haven't done anything that I enjoy. I don't have the other 'ozempic personality' traits- I'm not depressed, no thoughts of self-harm, no anxiety. Just.... no joy or motivation.
Is this something that will go away once my body gets used to the drug? Will the feeling get worse in 2 weeks when I move to the .5 dose after the second .25 dose?
If this is a temporary issue that will sort itself out over time, that's fine. I can deal with this for a little while. But if this total lack of enjoying life is going to be the 'new normal', well, that isn't going to work. I'd rather have uncontrolled diabetes and enjoy my life than have the diabetes under control with nothing to look forward to...
