9 month old wound keeps reopening

I (22F) was bit in the arm by a feral cat 9 months ago. It was a very deep bite, caused severe bruising and took almost 3 months to completely heal the first time. I did go to the doctor after the initial bite and was put on antibiotics and given the proper vaccines. About 3 months ago the scar became very itchy and sore to the touch. After a few days of that a small opening appeared in the center of it. It took about a week to heal after I poked and prodded at it (bad idea, I know.) but no pus or anything ever came out. Now this morning I noticed it felt quite sore and found it has opened again. One thing I’m considering is that I chose to not have an x ray of my arm after the bite. They did warn me sometimes cats teeth break off in the skin but the doctor probed the area and said she was quite certain there was not a tooth in there.
