Refusing streaming during OTB games

Miscellaneous

I am a 36 year old (former) American who is round 2300 FIDE. My last tournament was the 2008 Canadian Championship in Montréal. I could write a book about it but to keep it short, between 2009-2025, my life fell apart, I barely studied chess, never played a tournament, and was basically stuck in a room all day.

Now I 'wake up' in 2025/6, and I see on YouTube (which was a primitive looking site back in 2008),and I see how many chess streamers have livestream videos of their OTB games in the playing hall.

Back when I last played a tournament, smartphones barely existed. I looked at some of these livestreams and wondered, is it considered taboo if I ended up playing a streamer, but did not want to be on film live? Obviously the the streamer's fans would know exactly who the opponent is. Would I end up with a bad reputation of being some Scrooge or party pooper for refusing to be filmed?
