anyone know if you have to be in the dlc map for the dlc chars remembrances?

my plan is to get used to them in regular solo games so i’m not dragging down a team and i’m wondering if it matters or not which boss or map i’m in to also progress the remembrance at the same time.

id rather just be sure if anyone knows before i waste time on matches that won’t contribute toward remembrance progress.
