Anyone seen this type of failure with stingray?

Bought these boots of ebay a while ago, wore them out for the first time and when I took them off I noticed the largest part of the crown fell out. I didn't even know that was possible, which also has me thinking these are fake. Anyone have any idea how I could fix these?
