Missing cuisine in Charlotte?

My buddy from Charlotte is visiting Los Angeles for just a couple of days. I have been to Charlotte and know there are plenty of great restaurants—Counter, The Fig Tree, Peppervine, etc. But what types of cuisine are Charlotte missing that I can show him in LA?
