I honestly think that these 5 characters have some potential in the main series as a no sort of new point of focus, and as someone who actually researched about each member, you really get to see many dynamics not found with other groups, and one of their members (Ciel) has been playable in a console game before (granted, said game was champions/e-sports).

Like when you research about the 5 you actually see that they are more then just the average character

Floré, the red member and president, is basically serious but silly

Ciel, the blue member and treasurer, is Sig but if the quality of him rarely showing emotion was amplified… and also she loves math

Roco, the green member and secretary, is just flat out overworked but energetic as Amitie

Lux, the yellow member and vice president, is basically Lemres, just without the candy obsession

Abyss, the purple member and a part of the public morals committee, is arguably a very unique character, focusing on enforcing morals, which we don’t see often in the series

Overall, these 5 characters actually have a lot of depth and interesting things surrounding them, and in my opinion, can make for interesting characters in the main series.

Random thought, a future Puyo game should have the Light School student council (pictured) (Puyo Puyo Quest) playable
