My ex called me because she missed me, then spent the night with someone else after
This month felt like an emotional whiplash.
An ex of 6 years of mine suddenly called me. I honestly thought something urgent happened, so I picked up. But she just wanted to say she missed me and started getting sentimental again. I told her we shouldn’t be having conversations like that if she can’t commit. I ended the call.
The next morning, I called to remind her about something she still owed me. I called pretty early. She answered while she was already in a car on the way home. I asked where she came from, and she got oddly vague. After a bit of pushing, she admitted she stayed over at a guy’s place she met online.
She said they hung out the afternoon before, talked for hours, got dinner, and then he invited her over to his place to watch movies. According to her, they ended up watching films the whole night. She insisted nothing happened, though she said the guy “tried,” and that it was “kind of hard to ignore” because he was attractive and easy to talk to.
She also told me she turned him down because she “really just wanted to watch movies.”
Meanwhile, this happened on the same day she was messaging me saying she missed me. I told her it felt really off that she could spend the night with someone else after.
All she said was, “Yeah… messed-up move, right?”
Then she asked if I was “okay hearing all this.” Of course I wasn’t. But I just said, “We’re not together anymore.”
But the truth is… I haven’t been okay since. I’m trying, though. It hurts that I’ll never get an apology for this and I’ll have to move on by myself. At 30 years old.
That’s pretty much everything. I just needed to get this off my chest.
