ES-03 at CRA — anyone successfully navigated alternation lately?

Hey everyone, I’m an ES-03 at the CRA and I’m starting to look into alternation because I’m planning a career change and would prefer to leave through that route rather than just resigning outright.

From what I’m seeing internally, most of CRA’s current WFA inventory seems to be part-time or casual roles, which makes me unsure how realistic alternation is for someone at my level.

For those who’ve gone through this recently (or tried to):

How did you find a match?

Are there any branches/regions actually taking alternations right now?

Is it worth posting widely, or is it mostly who-you-know?

Any tips to improve my chances?
