22F - Severe Eye Pain in Right Eye

reaching out as a desperate attempt because all the emergency eye clinics in my city are closed and the nearest 24-hour one in another city is six hours away, not including potential wait times.

for context, I am nearsighted in one eye and farsighted in the other. My right eye’s prescription is -4.25, last i checked around a year and a half ago. last eye appointment, my doctor mentioned that my retina (??? I think it was the retina. he showed me a scan of my eye where all the veins are behind the eye) was reversed (??) like, the other way around or something. he said it was vertical when eyes usually have them horizontal or something along that vein (i really hope i’m coming across coherently).

sometimes, i get these really bad headaches. sometimes when i wear my glasses too long, sometimes when i stay up too late, etc. they’re like really bad cluster headaches, i’m assuming from google, but it also feels like the top of my right eye is in a type of pain completely on its own. these headaches have been happening for about a year now but i can’t be too sure.

it feels like someone ripped it out and threw it against concrete before shoving it back in. it like, pulsates and hurts really bad. i usually take an advil and put a warm compress on it for half an hour and it becomes significantly better to manage.

recently, i got some kind of seasonal virus and my eye has been on a whole other level of pain. warm compresses do nothing. hot compresses do nothing. avoiding light does nothing. it’s been over 24 hours and it hurts to have this eye in my head. it hurts and all i can do is take painkillers to knock myself out to stop feeling it for a little while.

does anybody have any idea as to what this could be??? i just need a solution, please, Canadian healthcare is such a joke, my initial doctor saw something wrong/different and just said “but it doesn’t seem to be causing any major trouble”, like wtf, i’m just so tired of being in pain.
