Steam “Made with AI” tag. What does it mean for code?
The original Steam News post about including a Made with AI tag isn’t very specific when it comes to code. We have the following text:
“Pre-Generated: Any kind of content (art/code/sound/etc) created with the help of AI tools during development. Under the Steam Distribution Agreement, you promise Valve that your game will not include illegal or infringing content, and that your game will be consistent with your marketing materials. In our pre-release review, we will evaluate the output of AI generated content in your game the same way we evaluate all non-AI content - including a check that your game meets those promises”

It just days “any kind of content” then mentions “code” but doesn’t explain at all what that means. Does this mean if I press tab to auto complete a method that means I have to use the tag? What about using the ChatGPT website to debug code, not necessarily copy and paste?
It’s ironic. Programmers use to copy and paste from StackOverflow all the time. Do we need a “Copied Code” for a mere two lines? Can someone help clarify this?
