Started on Ritalin and now my nails don’t bother me

Hi so for as long as I can remember I need to keep my nails super short. Since I was a kid, when ADHD wasn’t a thing and I was just that difficult kid. Recently got diagnosed at 39 and got on 10 mg Ritalin daily. Any nail growth in the past just drove me mad (hygiene issues even though I wash my hands a gazillion times per day). After getting on the meds, my nails do not bother me any more and I’m thinking I might go for a nice manicure. Why is that?
