Vietnamese Food Recommendation - An Update
Good evening.
Some of you may have remembered my post from 2 months ago.
And I just got back from my 10 days in London. The trip was primarily scouting out which neighborhood to live once move. But secondarily, I was able to try out 3 Viet restaurants in the city.
One thing I would like to confess now:
London has a better Vietnamese food scene than NYC, and it is simply not even close. This is really shattering my NYC project at the moment. My 4th annual update is coming up for NYCfood and it is gonna be a painful one. Anyway, you don't care about that. This is just to demonstrate how highly I rate Viet food in your city.
I did try:
- Pho Thuy Tay Cafe: My hands was touching my head the whole time asking the same question over and over again: "What? They have that thing here??". I will do a dedicated post for this on my website (this is how I did the NYC project, so if you're interested, please get used to this).
- Cay Tre: I tried to Soho location. It is a tad expensive, even in NYC standard. But if this was located in NYC, it would have made the top 3 easily.
- Keu: I only tried banh mi. At this point, it just got more and more depressing. I was so ready to move.
I apologize for not being able to try more. But I will return as soon as my credit card allows me to. And once I'm settled there, I will do the London project with the same care and commitment as the NYC project.
I cannot wait to come back.
