Styling mismatched Christmas fine china

Hi everyone this is my first time on this subreddit, but I didn't know where else to ask other people's opinion as I myself do not have an eye for design.

Please let me know if this is the wrong subreddit, I am just looking for some general tablescaping/decorating advice on how to style dinnerware and what looks good with what.

I am looking to hunt down online, in antique stores, etc. dinner plates for Christmas time that might look with the salad/dessert plates I already have.

I could go with the matching dinner plates, but I am not sure, but maybe that would look best?

Maybe a white plate with a red border, maybe a red and white transferware, I am not sure?
