Will we ever move to creator-led watch-alongs like esports?

Lately my friends and I have been watching games with the TV on but the sound off, and listening to a podcaster/streamer or some diehard fan call it instead of the main broadcast.

Makes me wonder:

Will we ever actually move to creator + community-led livestreams, like it’s already done in esports and other games?

Curious what people here actually do:

• Do you ever swap out the TV crew for a creator/fan stream? When and why?
• If you don’t, what’s the thing that keeps you on the main broadcast?
• Do you think this ever becomes the default, or is it always a niche side thing?

For context: I’ve been messing around with a little side project called Musen for fan/creator watch-alongs, so I’m thinking about this a lot, but mostly just want to hear how other people actually watch.
