How I’d Describe WWE in 2025 (and What They Need To Fix in 2026)
WWE in 2025 has been a weird mix of “this is incredible” and “why are we doing this again?” The talent roster might be the deepest it’s ever been, production is still unmatched, and the big PLE moments absolutely deliver. But the week-to-week shows feel inconsistent. Storylines heat up and then disappear, character arcs get reset out of nowhere, and some divisions feel like they lose direction every other month. It’s not bad, it’s just frustrating because the potential is right there.
If WWE wants to make 2026 a real step up, they need to commit to actual long-term storytelling instead of rewriting every few weeks. More focus on character development, more spotlight for underused talent, and a more stable vision for both the women’s division and the midcard scene would go a long way. And honestly, letting wrestlers talk more, improvise, and get themselves over instead of overproducing everything could bring back a lot of magic.
The tools are available, the roster is set, WWE just needs consistency and clear direction. If they tighten things up creatively, 2026 could be one of their best years in a while.
