Booted from a crossdressing group for being "obviously a guy", trying to learn feminine presentation

Discussion

I hope I am allowed to post this. I am a recently out AMAB trans woman, trying to learn makeup and clothing. I posted several pictures of myself in gradual stages of dress in a crossdressing group because it looked like a great place to learn fashion and makeup.

My post was removed because some of my selfies showed me looking "clearly like a man" and the purpose of the group is to help people "pass." Hello, I clearly asked for advice on how to look more feminine.

Is this the usual fare for crossdressing groups, and are they a bad place to learn how to dress more like typical fashion associated with other genders? And why do the rules in this group seem to prohibit crossdressing subjects?

I'm confused. I would think that a crossdressing group might help me learn how to look more feminine.
