How important is your Place of birth in passport?
So I applied for tatkal passport on 12th Nov as I wanted to begin my master's in Italy application ASAP and had my appointment on 14th. I told the person specifically to keep my POB as Sindhudurg as growing up I had filled "Oras, Sindhudurg" (POB as told by my parents) is a small village which I knew would be a problem for visa if it's not mentioned with district
She denied to do so. However during my police verification I had to submit an updated birth certificate where I found that my POB is under Ranbambuli panchayat, Sindhudurg and that's also in my domicile but idk how I passed PV
I received my passport with POB as ORUS, SINDHUDURG😠and I applied for tatkal booked an appointment just for the lady to look at the paper and deny straight away! And told me to update the form take a normal appointment and come back! And it's not even 100% sure if the changed will be made as the evaluation officer will decide!
I still can't book an appointment even though I edited the form as normal and my reissue office is Mumbai ! But my_qualifications: and work profile. I just want to know if this could be a problem because in any other document apart from birth certificate and domicile I have my POB as Sindhudurg.
Is there any under the table way? Is this an important change as the help desk said everything else in my passport is fine. Should I request my school and Jr college to make new LCs with same POB as my PP? As consulate checks the academic history not necessarily domicile?
