Marcel is the worst written character in TVD

Literally nothing about his character is consistent at all, I don't get how people glaze him (I'm pretty sure its just cos hes good looking lmao).

The writers wrote Marcel terribly -- he is kinda unlikeable and nothing he says or does makes remotely any sense most of the time and there is no consistency whatsoever. He's a terrible son, cries 99% of the time and claims to love rebekah but a) leaves her in a coffin for hundreds of years to be immortal (i still think it was a clear test by Klaus and if he had chosen rebekah he would've just made Marcel immortal anyway but Marcel just proved klaus right by putting his own ambition over his supposed true love) b) tricked the daft bitch into calling their murderous father and leaving the city to him (his plan was to love happily ever after with rebekah but instead of searching for her he just created his own empire). Marcel is a terribly leader and character. 200 years later -- he fools her AGAIN lmaooo, Rebekah does nothing but prove Klaus right the entire show about her HORRIBLE decision making (still doesn't give him the right to control her but shes not exactly putting up a great defense). Everything about Marcel's hate for the Mikaelsons literally just has to be assumed - whenever I see ppl justifying his clearly unjustified hate for the people that saved him they just assume he was domineering and put Marcel down when all the flashbacks mostly show him as a caring figure (to marcel only ofc) and not that bad. I don't know how you would think Marcel is Klaus's son -- the guy barely ever liked him and was willing to kill him most of the time without much hesitation. Klaus just refuses to kill Marcel no matter what he does but Marcel is straight up down 24/7 for a plan to kill the mikaelsons. I get he took away his true love or whatever but like there are millions of girls besides your fucking step-aunt like seriously?? How is Rebekah not seen as a groomer for loving Marcel btw, she knew that mfer when he was a little kid its so weird for them to be in a relationship. He's a nice guy who cares about Hope thats true but I don't think he ever loved Klaus or thought of him as his father, just enjoyed whatever was given to him by Klaus.

During the Upgraded Original arc, this guy straight up kills Kol for no reason lmao -- davina loved him and he just killed Kol (I get he's in the way but the all powerful beast can't knock him out and put him somewhere like what?). I totally get him being mad for davinas death, its totally justified -- the originals lived for way too long to sacrifice a young and innocent person like that but he for no reason targets and enslaves Klaus for doing nothing lmao???? Like defending your family is bad I get it but what did he expect Klaus to do? Kill his own brother for some girl he barely cares about? all he can do is mediate at that point but somehow Marcel takes this as him excluding him from the family. Either ways, emprisioning your dad to eternal torture in a dungeon for getting saved by his family is just crazy to me. The only real difference between him and the Mikaelsons is that he saved Hope and if Hope was Marcels daughter the originals wouldn't do the same which I get and everything but otherwise he's literally just an eternal ungrateful crybaby who has tantrums very often.
