Quirk Name: Umbrella

Quirk Type: Emitter (with minor Mutant aspects for the permanent floating aspect).

Mechanics:

1. The Ever-Present Umbrella (Primary Function):

Dark Parasol: A single, dark (black/deep grey) umbrella that permanently floats within a 2-meter radius of the user. It requires no conscious effort to maintain this basic state.

Mental Control: The user can mentally command it to move, rotate, block, and slash at high speeds within its range. Its steel-like hardness and sharp edge make it an excellent defensive and offensive tool—a floating shield and blade.

Material Integration & Evolution: If damaged, the user doesn't "heal" it with their own energy. Instead, they physically attach a replacement piece (a steel plate, a ceramic shard, a piece of ballistics fabric) to the broken area. Over hours/days, the umbrella "digests" and integrates the material, restoring itself and slightly improving its durability and properties based on the new material. A high-carbon steel patch would make it harder and sharper; a layer of Kevlar fabric might make it more flexible and impact-resistant.

2. The Shared Canopy (Secondary/Secret Function):

Condition: The umbrella must be physically positioned to provide cover simultaneously to both the user and another person.

Effect: For the duration of shared cover, the target perceives the user with the unshakable, subconscious familiarity and trust of a close friend or family member. This isn't mind control; it doesn't force obedience. It bypasses suspicion and hostility, making the target inherently receptive, more likely to listen, share secrets, lower their guard, or accept the user's presence in a vulnerable situation.

Limitation: The effect is temporary and proximity-based. The moment the shared cover is broken (by stepping away, the user moving the umbrella, etc.), the effect begins to fade over minutes. Repeated, prolonged use on the same target might build genuine rapport, but the initial "friendship" is a Quirk-induced illusion.
