Tips and tricks for dry skin?

Since it started getting colder my 8 month old has gotten flaky and really dry. I use salmon oil in his food. I’ve tried coconut oil in the food but it gave him the hersey squirts all night. I use a conditioner when he gets a bath and afterwards he’s super soft and no dandruff. But after our walks outside in Michigan, he gets flaky allll over his body. Thanks in advance!
