Pixel 7 Pro randomly displays lock screen when activating split screen

Hey all, first time posting here. I've been having a recurring issue where activating split screen will occasionally cause the lock screen to activate. It doesn't happen on a consistent basis, but it does tend to happen most often when I split screen ChatGPT and Recorder. It's getting a bit annoying because it also refreshes all of the notifications that I had previously dismissed.

I also get the same glitch when I open my CitiBank app. If it helps, I am using the latest version of Nova Launcher as my default. Maybe a recent Android update borked some kind of integration between the kernel and the launcher, but as of now I can't be sure.

Has anyone else had this issue or been able to reproduce it?
