My GSX struggle is finally over (+ I need your help)

Flight Simulator 2024

I bought GSX last year, at the end of June 2024. I tried to install it, but it told me that my firewall or antivirus was blocking the download. I followed the steps, tried to download it again, and failed miserably. I attempted a few more times, then gave up and forgot about it. I came back to it this spring. I checked forums and contacted support but received no response.

After completely switching to MSFS 2024, I really wanted to use the product, but I gave up and contacted FSDT support again to request a refund. After three weeks, they asked me what the problem was. I replied immediately and waited another two weeks. Then, Mr. Umberto responded, asking which country I was from. I told him I’m from Moldova. He said that everything was clear: the installer was blocking me due to an enormous number of hackers from Moldova. He offered me two solutions: try using a VPN or request a static IP.

I tried the VPN, but it didn’t work. So I requested a static IP today and sent it to him. Luckily, he responded immediately, saying I had been whitelisted and would be able to download shortly. I came home and started the download. Guess what? It kept downloading the zip packages again and again. I almost gave up once more, but then I tried the offline installer—and it worked!

I tried it in-game, and wow—it’s really beautiful. It makes everything feel so much more real, and I’m really enjoying it.

However, I’m still confused about a few things: 1. Do I need to download GSX profiles for my third-party sceneries? Everything seems to work nicely for me, so I’m not sure. I want to try the GSX profile for IniBuilds sceneries since they include them with almost every add-on. 2. What’s the deal with the jetways? Is it now possible to replace all jetways with GSX ones, or does this function still need some work in 2024? 3. Lastly, what settings should I change in GSX itself to make it feel as realistic as possible?

Thanks in advance to my fellow GSX users! I hope for your help.
