Second car for backup?

Anyone here keeping a second car as backup in case your main/other car doesn’t start one day?

i have known people living alone who kept a second car, usually another old car, to have something to drive around while the first car needed work. one lady living on the same street as me and my parents kept two identical old ford escapes. but that was 15 years ago, and car economics were totally different than they are today.

I live in a car dependent area, and a potential vehicle breakdowns is one of the things that keep me up at night.
