What foods or meals surprised you with how many calories they had, or how small the actual serving is?
What foods or meals surprised you with how many calories they had?
For me, it was peanut butter. What got me with peanut butter was the serving size: 2tbsp/32 grams for 190 calories.
I used to love peanut butter sandwiches, but I’d put 3-4 times as much peanut butter on them as that; at least to me, 2 tbsp of peanut butter was not a lot of peanut butter.
Another foodstuff that surprised me when I red the labels more carefully was canned soup. There was a beef and potato canned soup that I used eat a lot, and the calories seemed to be fine around 150 until I looked and saw the can contained 3 servings of that 150 calorie meal.
What foods shocked you with how many caliries they had? I know some people have been surprised with how many calories things like fruits can have, and many people here have certainly screwed themselves with sodas and crazy Starbucks drinks.
