The Four Ceremonies of Life
Went to the Four Ceremonies of Life yesterday, which is in Tokyo until Dec 22 and will be in Osaka Feb 6024.

What is it? It's a small exhibition that combines a couple of really cool videos for the fans, a small number of exhibits, and a fair number of locations to take photos. It seems like it's an expansion of the Funeral exhibition they did a few years ago (which I didn't go to)
Did you know there are over 1500 characters in the RGG universe?
What it isn't There aren't that many artifacts from the game history. Like I would have loved to have seen development artwork, any items they used for motion capture, or other collectibles.
There aren't any behind the scenes about the game development, it's more about the lore and the history.
The content is about 90% Kiryu era, and 10% post Kiryu era. No Judgment, Ishin, or Pirates content. No K3, Stranger than heaven, Dark Ties content.
Highlight: For me, the lore timeline was super impressive. I would have LOVED to buy a poster of this.
How large is it? If you took your time, it would take about 1 hr at most to see everything. I didn't have that much time and I don't read very quickly so I may have missed a lot of content.
Take your photo in the boardoom!
Merchandise: I have to say I wasn't crazy about how much of the merch is gatcha. I really would just like to get the items I want without having to pay for multiple tries to have a chance to get it. That includes the shikishi board that you get with your ticket, which has different sets depending on which week you go. I didn't get why so much of it is set up like this, including the acrylics and the headstones. (some of this merch seems to be from the previous funeral exhibition)
That said, the merch was really high quality. I love the ashtray although I don't need one. The Daimon collection is really impressive in person. Surprised there weren't more posters or t-shirts though.
There are actually two merch collections - the one in the exhibit itself, and there is a separate merch space that has collab items with the venue.
If you go, know that the "special items" that you can buy with your ticket aren't available from the gift store. So if you want the acrylic stand (which does look pretty cool) or the sake cup set (which I think is a reference to induction being one of the ceremonies of life), you have to buy it with your ticket.
