Question about etiquette: I want to share an audio file directory from a virtual private server using clients. What is a good etiquette regarding naming conventions?

Question

What the title says. I'm not a pro, and I don't pretend to be. I have some directories with YT rips (with crappy 128kbps), some few flacs, some flac transcoded to mp3 and capped at 320kbps, and some loose mp3 collections of mixed qualities of bands that no longer exist.

I don't want to waste other people's time by making them download stuff they consider subpar, we all have different standards after all. But, I also know that sometimes I've been looking something for so long that I'm happy even if what I find is an over-compressed rip from a demagnetised cassette (we all have been there, right?).

I'm not well-versed into scene stuff, but Flac and mp3 naming rules look like a good start, even if they seem like overkill for my use case. So, what rules you do follow for this type of stuff? what things you like and dislike from other users' way to organise their public libraries?

I'm mostly thinking about ѕاѕκ and еԁ2κ/κаⅾ if that helps (the two р2ρ networks I currently leech audio from).
