Recent Mask Ban Policy

Recently, when reviewing policies, I noticed that the dress code policy had been updated to

"Associates may not wear a face covering/mask on the sales floor unless one or more of the following applies:

- State/local law requires us to permit their use;

- The associate is actively experiencing symptoms of illness; or

- The associate has an approved medical accommodation that requires the use of a face mask."

This ban on masks for healthy employees is highly concerning; we deserve the right to stay healthy and protect ourselves from sick coworkers and customers who choose not to wear masks. Masks are also used to create a safe environment for immunocompromised people. This new rule actively makes the store environment more hostile to disabled and elderly customers and employees. Masks are a vital form of personal protection equipment; your employees' health and safety should be your first priority.
