Max G30 suddenly bricking after firmware update... anyone else?

So I've had my G30 for about 8 months now and it's been pretty solid, but last week I made the mistake of updating to firmware 1.7.3 through the app and now I'm getting this weird issue where the scooter just completely shuts down mid-ride. Not like low battery shutdown, but like INSTANT power cut. No warning beeps, no error codes on the display, nothing.

I've tried the whole reset procedure (holding down brake + throttle for 10 seconds) and it seems fine for about 2-3 miles, then bam... dead again. Battery shows 65% when it happens so that's definitely not it.

The annoying part is I can't downgrade the firmware through the official app (obviously) and I'm a bit hesitant to mess with the BLE stuff since I don't want to void whatever warranty I have left.

Has anyone experienced something similar after this update? I'm seeing some posts on Facebook groups but nothing concrete about a fix. Wondering if I should just bite the bullet and contact support or if there's a known workaround I'm missing...
