Med School Applicant

Currently I am an undergraduate student with a 2.9 gpa and a 2.5 science gpa. I am set to graduate and want to go to med school in the states. I am considering either changing my major and continuing in undergrad to raise my gpa for one year. Or if I should just continue to graduate and do a SMP or postbacc. But I fear still not being a competitive applicant for med school in the states. What is my best option for someone in my current state?
