Recs with characters who are interesting and not shadow daddy’s and snarky sassy fmcs?

I don’t mind if they have shadow-esque powers. I just can’t do the watered down Rhys/Xaden.

I loved the characters in these books:

Mages of the Wheel - I thought Makram was competent and a strong warrior but also respected Naime. I thought they brought out each others strengths. I enjoyed how their relationship grew into mutual trust and respect then love. I loved how intelligent naime was, she made me believe in her as a sultana

Crowns of Nyaxia - I liked that Raihn had a sense of humor and was charismatic. I liked that he could apologize and slowly gained Orayas trust (twice). I liked that oraya was strong, competent, and cold without being the stereotypical snarky fmc. I liked that she was a warrior and that she had a hard time with emotion but expressed it between the lines or in what she didn’t say.

Saints of Steel - I love the men in these books. They’re mature, loyal, competent, kind, and also martyrs to a fault. I like how warm and cozy these books are.

Road of bones - I liked that they played off the insta lust trope and had one mmc was lust but not love and one mmc who the love and trust slowly grew into something. I liked that they showcased the differences. I liked that he was bad with words but showed with actions, he was rough and cold but underneath had a kind heart.

Daughter of no worlds - I liked maxs sense of humor. I liked that he was tired of war and fighting. I liked that he just wanted to garden lol.
