Narc "gift" giving...

Tis the season and it's my birthday! My narc MIL hates me (because she hates everyone her children marry, except for my husband's ex-wife... She's the best! Haha). Yesterday a package arrived addressed to me containing two pairs of pants that are way too small for me. I had no idea who sent them until my husband text me to tell me that his Mom "accidentally" sent her order to me and if they fit, I can keep them, but if not, we can just bring them to her the next time we see her. Here's the thing, she recently discovered Ozempic and has lost a ton of weight, while I have put on some extra pounds these last few years after I was diagnosed with a life threatening illness and the medicine I have to take makes weight gain easy and weight loss challenging... While I'm a little self-conscious about my weight issues, I've made peace with it and I'm just thankful to still be alive to watch my kids grow up. Everyone who has a narcissist in their life knows she sent those to me intentionally, on my birthday, to rub my nose in it. I'm at the point where I'm not even mad, offended, or surprised. Now that I know what she is, I find it amusing and so predictable. I guess I'm just venting here because if I tell anyone else who isn't familiar with narcissistic abuse and "death by a thousand cuts", they would think I sounded petty and crazy. Oh well, i'm not going to waste another minute thinking about this. I'm just going to donate them to a women's shelter, not acknowledge I even received them and continue to enjoy my day with the people I love.
