Clogged or Abcessing

Background: 24F, no medical conditions, abscess is July, I&D in Aug, reoccurrence in Sept, MRI showed Y shaped intersphincteric fistula with a transsphincteric branch. Next consultation Wed, will most likely be referred by my general surgeon to CRS due to MRI results.

On my last weeks MRI, there was no current abscess but there was “inflammatory bands” surrounding the fistula. I have been fine with little to no discharge or symptoms for about 3 weeks until Tuesday this week. I had this mucus like discharge come out in two greenish small clumps. The following day I had a large amount of discharge that was yellowish/slightly brown (assuming it’s probably poop fixed with pus which has happened before). I also noticed it was a bit sore when I pressed in the area. Leading to today, the external area is very red and swollen, and when pressing there’s a small lump. During my past flares it just pusses a lot and is a bit swollen, but no small lumps.

Is this most likely just a small clog which happens from time to time, or should I be worried about it being an active abscess even though last weeks imaging showed no current abscess. I don’t have a GP so I’d like to save myself from the trip to a walk-in for antibiotics. Especially if I should just keep monitoring it at home, watching for fever or other signs of infection.

At home care: sitz bath every morning, Epson salt regular bath every night. Healthy diet (lots of fibre and protein, and veg, I hate fruit lol). Baby wipes for BM and non-woven gauze to collect pus throughout the day.
