Why am I forced to purchase cars for fortnite and rocket league?

I understand that epic games own fortnite and rocket league, but the cars are extremely expensive, as a person who hasn't played rocket league in 5 years and is never planning to, I think there should be an option for 'Fortnite only' and the price lowers as a cool car is 1500 vbucks MINIMUM which is ridiculous for 1 car

Let me know what you guys think of this?
