Are double bypass shower doors a stupid design?

I think they look good but are a stupid design.

If one of the 2 sliding doors had a handle on each of its sides, it would be easy to open that door from outside and inside of the shower. I guess this is callled a back-to-back handle and I only found it on a few systems that have a single sliding door + a fixed panel. Like the Dylan at Home Depot.

But for 90% (maybe 100%) of the double bypass shower door systems I've seen, both doors only have 1 handle. One on the inside, one on the outside. See the photos.

Let's say I enter through door A. When outside, there's a big handle on A to grab and its easy to slide the door open. But once inside the shower, what do I grab on door A to slide it closed so I can shower? And after shower, to open it so I can exit. There's no handle on the inside of A.

3 choices to exit. The first two are: (1) hold on to the little inside of the screw for the handle on the outside, or (2) press my whole palm against door A and slide it closed and open. To me, it seems impossible that either is the intended procedure. Both seem stupid.

Choice 3 is : Grab the inside bar of door B and open it. Then put my hand outside the shower and grab the outside bar of door A, use that to close and open A. That works but seems very clumsy.

Is the product designed this way?
Am I missing something?

What do people who have this door actually do in practice? Are they happy to do this?
