My ghost
I wander through this forgotten place,
long abandoned for weeks and days.
Merely remedies from a time of the past,
yet all the memories seem to last.
My finger moves along those frames,
of moments blurred without their names.
As I reminisce on things that could have been,
it feels like my ghost is watching.
A gentle melody I quietly start to hum,
as your distant voice into my ears begins to come.
Keeping on my walk as I softly sing,
it feels like my ghost is listening.
Alone I walk down our memory lane,
feeling neither blessing nor bane.
Knowing the path grows dark yet dawning,
it feels like my ghost is joining.
I start to rest as I reach the end of the road,
sit down, put down all self-imposed load.
I smile as a hand touches my shoulder, and see
my ghost who takes the seat next to me.My ghost
