Can I get the sombraro hat with Arthur using the Angelo Bronte Man of Honor mission glitch to get to New Austin

I try to get this hat for an outfit. I tried it in free roam by trying to go to thieves land (because there are del lobos there) then stopping on the bridge and trying to go there holding a buck so the sniper won't shoot you. I tried it a few times but I gave up. Now I try to get the hat with the mission glitch. Is it possible?
