Movie about nuclear war

So I remember that the movie ends with the main character ( a man) being detained by these people and some time after he is detained sirens go off and they look out of the window and se the nukes or whatever dropping. I think there was some watch that he had throught the movie that kind of helped him predict that the world will end but im not sure about that.
