ChatGPT HLR Mistake
Got denied for MH despite a ton of documentation. Denied for lack of SC as there was nothing in my in-service record.
Wanted to submit HLR so asked ChatGPT which told me I will likely have success because of a couple of court decisions that said lack of in-service documentation is not grounds to deny a claim. With buddy statements and a strong nexus letter, the HLR should overturn the denial. It recommended I note the HLR with the court cases.
Submit the HLR, without a conference (anxiety claim, I’d fumble all over myself). Turns out, there’s no way to drop a note into the HLR request. So now I can make no mention of the court cases nor explain why I submitted the HLR request. Thanks ChatGPT!
Am I screwed or is the expectation that HLR reviewers know the laws? Any experience with something like this?
