New Technology Highschool is NOT a safe place to send your kids.

Please read the entire thing, as the worst information about the school is at the end.

Ms. Martin. The principal of the school, was previously a vice principal at CKM, and was fired for embezzlement.

The student counsel at New Tech is constantly tasked with finding ways to save money when there is none to save. So they have to find unethical ways to cut spending on student resources.

The principal constantly makes attempts to market the school as accommodating for people with IEPs and 504s, but those accomodations are never met, and are often ridiculed by teachers in front of classmates. I even over heard her talking with a district member, about how they needed more kids with IEPs for funding.

Discrimination isn't taken seriously, not just between students, but also from teachers who make racist remarks.

Unqualified teachers, are often tasked with teaching several classes. Such as an English teacher doing biology, and another separate English teacher doing theater, and PE teachers who either don't assign anything but fail you anyways, or do assign work but disregard physical disabilities.

Harassment and threats aren't taken seriously regardless of evidence. A student recorded a video of an ex of mine on school campus admitting to wanting to kill me, but settling for getting his friends to jump me on campus. When the principal was shown the video, she threatened the student who recorded it, saying that she needed to delete it and get back to being an A+ student, or else she would be responsible for bringing drama into the school. She then coordinated with the same district member mentioned before (I do not know his name but I know what he looks like) to tell the student who recorded it, not to give me a witness statement in court, for her own safety.

Their 2 only counselors, were fired. One was fired because of an email I sent in regards to being the victim of harassment, extortion, and physical threats. I said that she was the only one who actually tried to mediate and stop the harassment, and I thanked her while shaming the principal. The emails were then deleted from my school account, and the counselor was fired a week later.

The other counselor, who was known for being the only one enforcing or attempting to crack down on discrimination in the school, argued with the principal about students who had reported being called slurs on a daily basis by other students for months and discriminatory graffiti in classrooms and bathrooms being left up for months. He was fired the day after.

This school, and Ms.Martin specifically, is a shit show, and is not safe for kids. While I am aware that some people have had good experiences at this school, I am also aware that the only thing that makes a good experience at that school, is luck.
