What are your favorite & least favorite aspirations to play?
- Knowledge: They’re super fun & interesting sims to play, they just wanna learn a bunch of stuff and usually excel in their career. Easy to have and keep them in platinum aspiration.
- Popularity: It keeps me super entertained. I’m trying to fulfill one of my sims lifetime want of “Have 20 simultaneous best friends” and it’s quite the challenge but I’m really enjoying it. I also like throwing parties (I have a mod where there’s no limit on how many sims you can invite) & watching the drama in my neighborhood unfold by bringing everyone together lol. It also helps with their career.
- Romance: Building relationships is good for their career and it’s really fun to play. Helps with building drama in the neighborhood. I usually have them woohoo/date townies so they don’t home wreck every relationship in the neighborhood lol. Also fun to play as a hopeless romantic with the 3t2 traits mod (gets rid of the want to “makeout/woohoo with x different sims”). I only like to play this with ACR, and I change jealousy override to engaged-steady so sims don’t get caught cheating unless they are going steady, engaged or married.
- Family: This used to be my favorite aspiration but they’re kind of annoying sometimes, it depends on the sims personality I guess. Some of them roll wants to fall in love/get engaged with other sims despite being in a relationship already. Also, Brandi Broke ended up with Darren Dreamer in my game. They were living with Lucy & Dirk as well as their kids and she became like a grandma to them. Right after Darren died, she autonomously flirted with Dirk and Lucy is furious lol. She is at the very end of her life.. just waiting for her to die now. I think I’ll play her as a romance sim next time I restart Pleasantview. Also, I don’t like the endless want to have babies. I try to keep a 1-2 baby limit per household so I don’t get overwhelmed with the next generation. One household is usually allowed to have 3 kids in my game (Don and Cassandra in the first generation). I like to play it as a secondary aspiration.
- Fortune: Kinda boring to me, I don’t like the endless want to buy more things for the home. They’re usually career orientated though, which I like.
- Pleasure: Boring, they mostly just wanna play on the couch and take baths lol. Mood. They don’t get much points from their wants either. It’s okay as a secondary aspiration but I wouldn’t put it as a primary aspiration.
