Cheaters - Really that bad?

I am usually Emerald Rank and only rarely meet cheaters in general (I guess most cheaters appear in Diamond and Champ Rank)

But right now even Gold and Platinum Players are raging about the amount of cheaters in the game while I still haven’t met a single cheater since the season launch - after 30 matches so far.

So what do you think: is it really that bad?
