X1C vs X9 15

I am in the process of buying my first thinkpad. However I cannot make up my mind being the X1C Gen 13 and X9 15. With the holiday discounts the x915 is tag around $1299 USD. And the X1C Gen 13 is priced around $1240 USD. So they are similar in price, and the latest pc is the x915. Both laptops have great reviews which is making this decision tough. From everyone I’ve read, it sounds like the x915 will be the “best bang for your buck”. Lastly, a lot of reviews highly recommend the x1 keyboard, which I was able to test when on a friend’s laptop, and yes it’s true.

I don’t usually make big purchases, so I just want to make a good purchase. HELP
