Question about apple care+

Im looking at buying the iphone 17 pro Max but i know the scratchgate issue thats going on. If i scratched the aluminium could i get that repaired? If not, if i scratched the aluminium and then smashed the back of the phone could i then get it all repaired with apple care and what cost would it be or does the cost vary?
