Why would an 89 in powerschool be an A and also shows as an A on my transcript?

For some reason, on my transcript my Apush grade is showing as an A, when I'm almost 100% sure my grade was a flat 89. Also says in powerschool that its an 89 but an A. I asked my teacher for extra credit so maybe he found some way to round it up? Just wondering if colleges only look at that A and not the 89 or anything when applying. Sorry if this is a dumb question.
