An important note about TTK

OTHER

With Engineering, there needs to be a collective refactor on how players look at Time To Kill.

Remember, the entire intent of Engineering is to give people the ability to survive - not win, just survive.

So it would be better to look at things from the perspective of "Time To Combat-Ineffectiveness". A state where the target cannot fight back or move in any meaningful manner. This is a state where your shields have been shot out and your weapons unable to power on, your power plant may be critically damaged, or your engines have been shot out.

The easiest state to compare this to prior to Engineering would be "Soft Death".

But people have a tendency to measure TTK from the point of engagement, to when the target blows up - not when it enters a soft-death state.

This is what I think is skewing y'all's feedback you are giving to CIG about TTK. It also doesn't help that CIG hasn't implemented a feature that helps make it very extra clear that the target has become soft-deathed. So some people just keep shooting.
