10-Speed Confusion
Man, I miss my 2018.
I'm in a 2021 LT Trail Boss with the 6.2L and I've enjoyed it fine enough... I don't love it like I loved my '18, but I like it. I'll get there. Probably. Feel like the 10-speed gets confused when it's cold, though.
First drive of the day, even if I let it warm up more than sufficiently, will hold onto gear for way too long and then quickly/abruptly shift multiple times before settling down. Like if I maintain steady throttle pressure, that's what it'll do. If I try to chase it or back off from it, performance is kind of unpredictable. Like it's shifting up and down to find the right "fit" before turning the logic back over to something sensible. Idk... hard to describe.
Anyway. Is this at all common behavior? Sounds silly to ask that, but I've heard all kinds of horror stories (as well as all the counter-horror stories) about these transmissions so thought I'd see if anyone here experienced that. Mileage is about 43,000 FWIW.
