What are some things you wish you’d done before you moved out on your own for the first time?

Hi, to make a long story short- I’ve separated from my abusive partner that I’ve been with for three years and I’m planning to get a place of my own in a few months. It’s hard, but I’m trying to save. What should I be looking for/doing to prepare ahead of time?
